Who we are.
Tao Skincare Clinic occupies two floors of a beautiful Georgian building in the heart of Exeter. We started life as a specialist electrolysis clinic and, over more than 35 years, have grown into one of the city's premier destinations for skincare, advanced laser and award-winning beauty therapy.
Tao is a beauty salon, hair-removal clinic and skincare centre all under one roof. From brow shaping and lash extensions to red vein and skin tag removal, facials, massage and waxing — every treatment is delivered by experienced, caring therapists who genuinely love what they do.
What sets us apart is our experience and passion for our Modus AY with MOVEO Aculight IPL hair removal — a non-invasive photo-epilation system designed to remove unwanted hair from any part of the body with outstanding, lasting results.

Michelle
Salon Owner · Senior Therapist
Michelle has worked in the beauty industry for more than 35 years, qualified to ITEC and CIDESCO Diploma — the world's most prestigious aesthetics qualification. She trained with the original Tao Clinics in the 1980s before founding Tao Beauty, Skincare & Laser Clinic in Exeter. She is the salon's specialist in red vein therapy and advanced skin lesion removal.

Chelsea
Salon Manager · Laser Technician
NVQ Level 3 qualified in Beauty Therapy and Electricals, Chelsea began her career with Steiner aboard some of the world's largest cruise liners before joining Tao in 2008. She is one of our most experienced laser technicians and a superb aesthetician.
